In the Red Barn Arts Centre in Sicamous B.C. the Eagle Valley Brush and Palette Club has a space to hang the group's paintings. Betty has a monthly theme and September was vegetables. I saw this avocado on Ali Kay's @Freshpaint group and thought that would be perfect. Well it turns out (after I painted it) that an avocado is a fruit! Good thing I had also painted a drying rack with onions on it. Betty had the group over for a day of sketching/painting/visiting/pot luck lunch/laughter and games. I found a shady spot in her garden and painted the onions using oil paint. I put both paintings up, to see if anyone else notices or finds the avocado as funny! The end result was I pretty much was the only one that thought it was a vegetable! Above: "Ripe and Ready" 10" x 8", Acrylic, framed and for sale
