Beyond The Bowl

This painting is part of a fish series I started. So far salmon and koi have intrigued me. This one in particular because of the deep colour of the pool with the brightly coloured koi. The variety of markings and colours are also very intriguing to paint. It struck me that these fish are as visible as a pet gold fish in a bowl.
