I was in Kelowna helping my Mom in the hospital. When I came home, my husband wanted to show me the magnetic hooks he bought me for using in the seacan to hang my art. Now the seacan was a bone of contention because all my art, canvases and frames are in bins and boxes basically covering the floor. It was suppose to be used for storage, van storage bin, tires etc. I couldn't stack the bins as the weight would bend or break the canvases or frames. In order to find anything, I had to move the boxes around me. Personally it was depressing and I did not like to be in there. I had a few plastic shelves but they couldn't take the weight so couldn't put much on them.
I came home to find that he had used the old boards from replacing our deck to make good strong sturdy shelves to go across the back and about 1/3 on one side. My work table still fits and it was absolutely amazing (read: great big happy dance!!). I have spent the last few days cataloguing, wrapping and setting up all the shelves with supplies or finished paintings. Now to do the computer work, but a rainy day is perfect for that. To top it off, while I was happily working away in there, I received a text that one of my paintings at the Enderby Courtyard Gallery sold. I wish he had taken the depressing "before" photo!
